 | Howdy Yeah, based on the cover and the brief summary, this sounds like it's gonna be a non-stop action flick. It is not. But that doesn't mean it's not good. It's just not what it appears. This is more of a personal drama - a Greek tragedy - starring a special forces Dad who loses his wife in an accident and then develops PTSD. His son has self-harm issues and the ghost of his dead wife haunts him. He can't hold a job, his son gets tangled up in a joy-ride and our army dad ends up getting involved with former army buddies who get him into even more trouble. Well acted but VERY slow in the middle, as the backstory unfolds. Actual runtime until end credits is 1 hour and 39 minutes. A/V is excellent, as usual. I'd rate the movie a 7.5/10. Sam Worthington doesn't disappoint. If you're patient, the ending is pretty okay too. Thank you, GalaxyRG. 🍷🍾 |

 | Thanks TGx for the upload on "Transfusion", and Kent for your awesome review as always, which without reading it, I would have admit, would scrap it, and given it an easy pass! The trailer didn't integrate into the movie as much as I thought it would, and yeah, the genre's I admit I took them out of context and felt right away that an action, thriller movie (war) was coming, but instead the movie really focused on the after affects, of two main themes, one being the main character and his role in the military as a sniper, and a few others and how that comes into play in the movie. Then the 2nd major but equal theme was the passing of his wife and child, and let's say the Mum, to the young lad (his other son) who survived a devastating car crash, and the movie deals with the implications of ALL the main character and his son and how they deal with her passing, during the movie. I believe that is the worst nightmare they both face and you'll see what occurs during the movie as a result! The movie left the viewer with some critical points that each person would have to decide on his/her own views on how things were handled and the emotions that pour out of the movie for the characters, without letting the cat out of the bag! Think that's what makes the movie so intense, yet interesting, & was able to form my own view of what I thought to be a great plot & movie in total. Perhaps I have a hard time trying to figure out where at any time in the movie which part is a mystery, bc it was laid out perfectly, & think everyone who watches it will understand it, and will not need the "subs". Had a few friends ask me about that, and said, didn't even consider it, as other movies, for sure subs do help, but this one is spoken well imho. Think the entire ending was fresh out of a book, and delivered thoroughly, & enjoyed the entire movie, and even if I may see it as a Drama, Thriller, doesn't mean I was confused. I believe it's what I took from it, and it's what you will as well, if you give it a chance :) Thx again TGx, the encoding was excellent A/V=10/10..5 stars and the movie which I use the IMDB scoring system, M=7.0--7.5. Definitely a great watch! |

| There are a few moments when the dad like rescues the kid from, say a burning barn   Next you will see them sat at a picnic table or something, the kid will say 'Thanks you', the Dad replies, 'For what?', and the kid comes back with 'for the fries and soda' It happens three or four times  |

| It goes without saying that this plot *has* been done before but in the Year of Our  Lord 2023 show me a plot that hasn't been done before and I will show you a good  Bruce Willis movie  Saying that, this is a good watch and definitely one of the better tellings (if the the best) of this story Produced well, acted well, not over-the-top and cartoonish, more grounded in reality Just the right amount of blood, violence and gore Thnx TxG for this one   |
