You should embrace these movies as they do a part of parenting that you obviously do not want or are not able to offer your child. By withholding these movies (or any other opportunity to see that reality isn’t strictly straight and binary) from your children and by offering them a misguiding view on the world, YOU are condemning your gay child to a life of utter misery, withholding them a chance to ever be happy, not “wokeness”. Is that really what you want? Trust that your child will be strong and wise enough to find its own way in life and it will be strong and wise enough when you have allowed and prepared it to be so. Not by withholding information, but by offering as much as possible. |
